Michael DeLorenzo is a multi-talented veteran of the entertainment industry. Born and raised in Bronx, New York, he began performing as a young dancer with Tina Ramirez's Ballet Hispanico. Michael has received scholarships from the School of American Ballet, the Joffrey Ballet, and the New York School of Ballet. He danced alongside Rudolph Nureyev with the National Ballet of Canada, as well as with Mikhail Baryshnikov and the American Ballet Theatre. Due to a serious knee injury while dancing, Michael was forced to leave the world of professional ballet. He took the circumstance as an opportunity to jump into the world of acting. Michael is an alumnus of the Lincoln Square Academy and the Manhattan-based High School of the Performing Arts, made famous in the film and television series Fame.
 
Michael is an award winning actor. He has won numerous awards for his multi-layered portrayals. Michael starred in FOX’s New York Undercover as Detective Eddie Torres (a brooding cop with a heart) and in Showtime’s Resurrection Blvd. as Carlos Santiago (the embittered boxing champion). It was in these starring portrayals Michael cemented his iconic status. In addition, Michael appeared in numerous television shows including Fame, and Head of the Class. He has made several guest-star appearances in television shows such as Blue Bloods and Academy-Award winner Dustin Lance Black's ABC miniseries When We Rise directed by Gus Van Sant.
 
Michael appeared in numerous films including Fast Forward directed by Sidney Poitier, A Few Good Men directed by Rob Reiner, and Alive directed by Frank Marshall. In addition, Michael has performed in several theater productions including A Standup Tragedy at the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles, which he won the Drama‑Logue Award for Best Actor. He made his Broadway debut in the revival of West Side Story. Michael also appeared in many music videos including Beat it, and Ballerina Girl working with artists such as Michael Jackson, Lionel Richie and others.
 
Michael is a director, writer and producer. Currently, his production company DeloVision Inc. has several projects in development including A Song to Remember, Little Latin Lover and Missing Apollo's. Michael has written, created and developed various television, movie and streaming projects, including the music based television series titled Gotham City Boyz. He has co-written a screenplay entitled High from Miami, which has been optioned with Michael attached to direct. As a Director, Michael has previously directed episodes of Resurrection Blvd., which were among the highest rated of the entire series. He also directed and produced music videos featuring new and upcoming artists, as well as various short films including It Can Only Be Used Once.  
 
Michael is a multi-talented musician. He is a vocalist, songwriter, composer, and multi-instrumentalist. Michael’s songs appear in various soundtracks and his debut music album was titled Rescue Me. Michael is currently in the studio creating new music for his next upcoming album.
